- In order to follow Him, we must be willing to drop our nets and get out of the boat.
- We have to have some flexibility to be able to plant the seed of the Word on good soil
- Good soil requires plucking the weeds of our desires for other things in the world
- Lust, and other battles:
- Lust is a battle that we can't overcome ourselves, just like every other battle with sin.
- We need to walk by the Spirit, like an airplane following the laws of aerodynamics, to be able to overcome the law of sin and death (which is comparable to gravity).
- Bottom line: live from the Lord and desire Him with all our hearts.

- Focusing today on abiding in and listening to Christ, and finding life in Him. I struggle with trying to manhandle our relationship. Anything but being still and knowing He is God. How do you be still and know that He is God? Why does everything in life pull us away from that?
